Hey Guys, long time, no blog post!! Apologies for the lack of blog posts, but some pretty exciting things have been happening in my personal life.. I will share details soon!!
Anyway, back in July I made a Kylie Cosmetics order to see what all the fuss is about!!

Nude lips can be an easy everyday option, that look classy and sophisticated as long as you don't select colours that wash out the rest of your face/make-up (concealer lips anyone??) If I know I'm going to be eating a lot or don't want the high maintenance of a bright coloured lipstick, I will select a nude lip! I have quite a few in my collection with a varying number of finishes from sheer and cremesheen through to matte and liquid to matte lipsticks.

I haven't actually used this palette yet, it is sitting in my draw unloved.. But I am going to pull it out this weekend and do my make-up for the annual Goondiwindi Picnic Races which is the biggest event on the calendar for my little town. I am on the committee and Fashions on the Field coordinator! Eeeep!

Overall I am super happy so far with the gorgeous palette - I can't wait to have a play around and create a few looks with this and let you know my final thoughts about it. Also this palette smells AMAZING! It smells like Reece's Peanut Butter Cups - a favourite of mine! Yum!

Anastasia Beverly Hills is known for 3 things; Brow, Contour & Liquid Lipsticks.

People go nuts for their releases (including myself before christmas!) because they aren't the best at re-stocking their website or once a shade sells out - it could possibly be gone for good! I am still waiting for Dusty Rose to be re-stocked from mid-last year!!


After I tried the formula of the ABH liquid lipsticks I knew I had to have more! And with the new release of 2 colours on Black Friday/Cyber Monday last year I knew I have to get them!!

The first colour I purchased was Sugar Plum which I purchased this through Shop & Box last year (you can see my haul here!)

In my second purchase from ABH I purchased another 8 lipsticks (however 1 was for a gift & 2 for my mum!) I picked up the 2 newest releases Catnip & Soft Lilac, as well as Candy Apple, Pure Hollywood & Sweet Talker.

Pure Hollywood - a medium peachy nude

Soft Lilac - is just that - a soft lilac

Catnip - a dark muted magenta

Sugar Plum - a deep pink/plum colour with a blue/purple iridescent shimmer throughout

Candy Apple - bright true red with a gold micro glitter

Sweet Talker - a watermelon pink with warm undertones

These beautiful lipsticks are priced at a very reasonable $15.95 (rrp) and are definitely worth the money! Next time I visit a Priceline I will be swatching the rest of the colour range!

Long time no post (well a week and a half! but long enough!!) I was in party planning mode last week and totally spaced on a post! Sorry guys!!



Now that the party is over, and the hangover has finally past, its time to get back to business!!

Two recent releases to hit my desk have been from the drugstore brand Rimmel London. I really enjoy the things I have tried from Rimmel in the past, so I was excited to give these a try.


First up, time to get those Brows under control with the "Brow This Way" collection, consisting of; 4 brow sculpting gels (Clear, Blonde, Medium Brown & Dark Brown) and 2 brow sculpting kits which contain a coloured wax, powder plus a tiny spooly brush and a double ended angled brow/liner brush (Medium Brown & Dark Brown).


I use the sculpting gel on days where I'm in a rush or running late, and on days when I don't hit the snooze button too many times, I use the sculpting kit to get a more defined look. It is really handy have the spooly brush in this kit, it helps to evenly blend your brows to perfection!!

And secondly the "Lasting Finish Nude Collection by Kate Moss" a collection of 5 nude-ish lipsticks (#040 - Pale Nude, #042 - Apricot Nude, #043 - Tan Nude, #045 - Rose Nude, & #048 - Coffee Nude) to suit all skin tones plus a universal (clear) lipliner.

These lipsticks are creamy, relatively long wearing and comfortable to wear. My favourite out of the 5 in #045 - Rose Nude, and is the perfect My Lips But Better (MLBB) shade!

• Tatin - a rosy pink with yellow/warm undertones, it is a really nice bright pink, but not barbie pink you would when you think bright pink!

I am definitely a massive fan of BITE Beauty and will be picking up more in the future!! I am hoping I can get my hands on some of the LE Canadian Only released lipsticks (infused with Maple Syrup!!)

Roughly Blended into the Skin

My tools of choice for using this kit are your fingers or the Sigma F70 concealer brush for precise placement of product, the Real Techniques Contour Brush* (from the Core Collection) for buffing and blending in the product and a Beauty Blender Pro for making sure that the product is completely blended into the skin.

Overall I think this product is great! Its amazing quality, blends easily and is great value for money! I have taken a liking to Laura Mercier products and will definitely be picking up more in the future!!
